Welcome to clear aligner therapy for small smiles! Now with Invisalign First, you can ensure that as your little ones grow, their smiles grow with them.

What is Invisalign First?

Invisalign First is clear aligner orthodontic treatment for growing children, usually between the ages of 7 to 10. It aligns teeth and expands their upper and lower jaws to make sure there is room for all their adult teeth to grow in. The trays are expertly designed to catch erupting teeth and bring them in line with the dental arch.

Aren’t My Kids Too Young for Orthodontics?

Not at all! The American Academy of Orthodontics recommends a visit at the age of 7 to check for any signs of an improper bite or development. Our dentists at Newbury Dental are certified Invisalign providers and can see if there are any dental or growth concerns that need to be corrected.

Invisalign First is a great early orthodontic treatment option for developing kids because it gives us the advantage of preventing or correcting early dental problems before they become larger problems that are more difficult to treat. If some of these dental issues are left untreated until they become adults or even their teens, it may require tooth extractions or even extensive surgery to correct.

What Are the Benefits of Early Invisalign First Treatment?

Invisalign treatment in children will give them a straighter smile and healthy bite, which can boost confidence and self esteem. The treatment will widen both arches to allow room for all adult teeth to grow in. The palate is also expanded, opening up the airway to allow them to breathe more easily and positively impact one of the symptoms of sleep apnea. Invisalign First can also correct improper bites early and allow jaw development to be guided or modified if necessary.
